Indian E-Visas (For Business)

The Indian authorities will usually issue 12 month multiple entry e-Visa for travellers (see below), and optional 24+ month multiple entry Indian visas will only available for “paper visa” applications made via the High Commissions. E-visa holders are able to enter India via 28 Seaports & 5 Seaports: Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kannur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Port Blair, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Varanasi, Visakhapatnam

E-visa application is available to the following nationals (non-Indian/ Pakistani Origins):

  • UK passport holders
  • EU passport holders
  • North/ South American Countries
  • ASEAN Members + 6 (incl China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, S Korea)

    Processing Time – How long does it take to process an Indian e-Business visa?

    Most successful applications received before 09:00am can be submitted to the authority on the same working day (otherwise on the next working day). The Indian authority will usually deliver application results within 72hrs after submission.

    Documents

    Indian e-Business Visa applications will need to provide the following documents:

  • At least 2 blank pages
  • At least 6 months validity remaining

  • WHITE background
  • NO visible distortion of facial features (i.e. NO glasses/ Ear rings)
  • Indian Size (2 inch x 2 inch)
  • Should be taken within 6 months
  • File size no larger than 1MB

  • Media professional/ NGO/ Government officials
  • Applicants born outside the country of origin
  • Intended to stay for longer than 180 days
  • You may need additional documents if you’re under 18
  • The authority may reject your application (with charges) if your case fits any of above.
  • If you are an Indian/ Pakistani origin, your e-visa application will not be accepted.

    Processing Time & Fees
